Let us introduce ourselves.

Luna Testing Ltd was established in 2010.
Our directors have a combined 50 years experience pat testing and all of our operatives are C&G 2377 qualified, CRB checked and have Health and Safety in the Workplace certificates.
All operatives wear full company uniform and carry company ID.
We provide our own PPI (unless it is site specific) and have experience in most working environments, from hospitals to army barracks, private houses to large hotels and from Sky TV to an elephant house.

How is the Pat testing carried out?
By using the Seaward Primetest test equipment with bluetooth capability and specific Pat's written software, Luna Testing Ltd can offer a fast, reliable and professional service.

A full visual inspection takes place, involving opening the plug top and inspecting to ensure the fuse is correctly rated, that there is no damage and that the equipment is fit for purpose and suited to the enviroment it is situated in.
The equipment to be tested would need to be powered down in order for it to be fully tested.
The equipment is then plugged into the tester and a series of tests run automatically to test for:
Earth Continuity.
Insulation resistance.
Polarity / Continuity on detachable leads.
Earth Leakage (where applicable)

Where equipment CANNOT be powered down, for example servers or test equipment, we would carry out a limited visual inspection only.

To minimise the disruption caused by the pat testing process, OUT OF HOURS is available at no extra charge.

R.C.D Testing
We are able to fully test portable R.C.D units by using an isolation unit.
This eradicates the possibility that the R.C.D will trip the distribution unit circuit breakers and therefore ensures there is no loss of power to circuits during the testing process.

Company policies.
Luna Testing Ltd have company policies in place to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and legislature. All sites are subject to a Risk Assessment being carried out and are supplied with a copy of the site specific forms as well as the Method Statement.
